Last week, shortly after the look of EBDUG.org was updated, we started receiving suspicious account registration activity. About once every two hours, a request would come in asking to open a new account for a new user, most of which had the same common first name entered for both first and last names - ie "Kristina Kristina" or "Brian Bria." As soon as I noticed these, I canceled these accounts and tightened up the permissions settings -- I'm surprised to see that Drupal Commons out of the box allows users to create accounts without approval.
I don't think anything has been changed -- I don't see any new content or comments -- but if you see anythign funny coming out of ebdug.org (or if you have suggestions for things we should look for) please let us know right away.
